Pet Travel Post Brexit

Since 31st December, it is necessary to have an Animal Health Certificate for travel within the EU, Pet Passports are no longer valid.  The Animal Health Certificate needs to be completed by us within 10 days of travel to the EU, it is valid for 4 months for onward travel within the EU and is valid for 4 months for re-entry into Great Britain.  It is a lengthy document for you will need a long appointment and to contact us with AT LEAST 3 working days’ notice if you intend to travel.  It is still a legal requirement for pets to be treated against tapeworm 1-5 days before travelling back to GB and BEFORE travelling to certain countries such as N Ireland, Ireland, Finland, Norway and Malta.
